Fan speeds may be changed by selecting the required fan operation mode (at fixed speed) or by using additional air quality transmitters (CO2 or pres-
sure transmitters). The maximum unit operation mode “boost” can be used for a prompt air change at the premises. It may be activated by a button or
another device, e.g. by using the PIR motion sensor or external button (with the on/off function).
Connection of a functional node to a ventilation unit:
A preheater is connected to a terminal block of a unit control system “X16”:
Purpose of terminals::
29 – protective earth (PE)
30 – neutral (N)
31 – supply phase (L1)
Maximum permissible connection power is 0.3 kW (230V 50Hz)
Preheater only in Smarty 3X VE with PRV_v2.3 control board
Operation:
The unit air output can be changed by changing fan speed:
• Manually (selecting relevant fan operation mode)
• Automatically (by pressure transmitters or CO2 transmitters)
• Forced (maximum/“boost”)
The following operation modes can be selected manually:
• “Building protection”
• “Minimum”
• “Rated”
Fan speed is controlled automatically when the following devices are used:
• Pressure transmitters (2 pcs). In this case, the fan speed is automatically adjusted with respect to system pressures.
• CO2 transmitter. In this case, the fan speed is automatically adjusted with respect to the CO2 level in the extract air flow channel or at the premises.
When automatic fan control speed is used, the optimal unit operation with minimum energy costs is achieved.
The maximum fan speed (maximum/“boost”) can be forced by:
• fast button remote controls
• digital input “boost” (default parameter)
This fan operation mode can be used, where prompt indoor air changes are required at the increase of air pollution (e.g. if the number of people in a
room quickly increases). The fan speed, in this case, is increased up to the set maximum/“boost” value.
The maximum speed value and operation time may be configured by remote controls.
Modes of each fan speed can be configured individually, i.e. different values can be selected for each speed. If differential pressure transmitters are
connected to the unit control system, different pressure values of the air transportation system can be individually set in different speed modes. The
configuration of different speed modes enables the proper balance of air flows. Control principles for every fan can be selected individually. Control can
be selected by percentage values or the system pressure (by means of pressure transmitters). Pressure transmitters (1141) are ordered individually.
Having installed the unit with the pressure support system (or without it), the installer must adjust the system. Where the air quality transmitter (CO2)
is used, it is necessary to indicate the maximum permissible ppm (part per million) level in the remote control.
Other information:
System control (configuration) based on pressure transmitters or CO2 transmitter, where they are connected to the unit control
system (automation terminal block X16), is possible only by means of “Flex” remote control.
Where “Stoch” remote control with pressure transmitters or CO2 transmitter connected to the unit control system is used (auto-
mation terminal block X16), its control (configuration) is not possible.
Standard speed configurations:
• Building protection – 31%, motor operating voltage 2 V±5%,
• Minimal – 45%, motor operating voltage 3,1V±5%,
• Nominal – 74%, motor operating voltage 5,1V±5%,
• Boost/židinys – 100%, motor operating voltage 10V.
