Dry contacts
The electrical contacts are controlled parts that they are connected or discon-
nected to our receivers (coils, lights, motors, etc.). Those contacts are located in
the contact chambers and they are turned on by different systems, i.e. buttons,
switches, relays, etc.

Harmonic currents
They are currents added to the fundamental frequency of a predetermined sine-
wave. It is named in this way when these harmonic currents are distorting the
original wave dueto different reasons.

Star
Standard connection type of the three phase transformers, which has a cable that
makes the neutral function.
•
Phase
Each one that the three phase system has: R, S and T, or single phase: R.
•
Outdoor
Name used to describe the features of the enclosure, according to its protection
degree, when it is placed outdoors.

Relay interface
Communication port of the equipment with the environment, it is normally made by
dry contacts .
•
Static switch
Electrically speaking, it is an electronic switch without any physical movement and it
is based on a silicon chip with particular features.
•
IP54
Protection degree ready to support the weather inclemencies.
•
Led
Light Emitting Diode that irradiates light when it is polarised properly.
•
Circuit Breaker
It is a combination of thermal and magnetic switch, which can trip with both magni-
tudes combined.
•
CE marking
Certificate that all electrical equipment must pass in Europe. All the manufacturers
has capacity to be certified by himself.
•
Neutral
In a poliphase system, it is the point that in the foreseen operation, has the same
potential difference, in relation to each one of the phases of the system.
•
Telemanagement pack
Optional Pack, which has been designed to establish a local and/or remote
communication with the ILUEST. It is composed by a PCB, built in the equipment and
management software.
•
Pin
Usually, it is the numbered contact in the integrated circuits.
•
Timer
It is a clock with the feature to temporize the activation of one or several contacts.
•
Astronomical Clock
It is a clock with an algorithm inside, where setting the latitude and longitude of a
geographic point, it saves the sun rise and sunset of every day in one year. Usually,
it is used to start up or shutdown the lights in an accurate way.
•
RS485
Transmission system of communication, in which two twisted cables will establish
the communication with an established address.
