2.- INSTALLATION STANDARDS.
2.1.- General information.
This chapter describes both the installation modes of the system and the description of the following topics:
2.2.- Reception and identification.
2.3.- Storing.
2.4.- UPS location.
2.5.- Location features.
2.6.- Predisposition and mains connection.
2.7.- Auxiliary connections of the UPS.
2.8.- Main earthing protection.
2.2.- Reception and identification.
After removing the packing, inspect the UPS and battery cabinet visually (inside and outside) to detect possible damages in
the unit due to the transport. If there is any damage in the structure, it is convenient to claim to the transport agency or dealer
immediately. Also, it is convenient to compare the supplied good with the delivery invoice.
In the door of the equipment there is the adhesive tag label with the type, power and serial number of the equipment.
2.3.- Storing.
If the equipment is not installed immediately, it must be stored in a environment protected from high humidity and heat sources
(from +5 to +40 °C, non-condensing humidity lower than 95%).
When the battery cabinet is also supplied, it is a must to assure that the period time between the last recharge of the batteries and
the next one will not be higher than 6 months. Once this period is overcame, the UPS will be connected to the mains and started
up provisionally, during the needed time in order to recharge the batteries .
2.4.- UPS location.
All the sizes and configurations of this series have been designed with the same structure. Their mechanical features are described
in the tables 2.4 a-b-c.
The dimensions and weight are different due to the liquid-air exchanger of the equipment.
For its handling, remind you that the equipment, less in those particular agreements, it is sent and joined with the exchanger,
therefore it is necessary to take note of the dimensions and weight of the used version.
The cabinet, without the packing, can be transported with the help of a forklift, either from the front or from the side, and moved
till the installation location.
Remind you, that the UPS has bottom entry cable (on the right and under the baseboard support ) (fig. 2.4).
