4.5.- Instructions for transferring to manual bypass.
If for any maintenance or other reasons, the power supply of the critical loads must be done from the mains directly , by
excluding the UPS, to do operations of control or maintenance in it, follow the following steps:
1. Select the menu 3. UPS COMMANDS.
Select “transfer load to bypass” and press ENTER. From now on the loads are fed from the bypass line (reserve) directly.
2. Inverter shutdown.
By means of the menu 3 UPS COMMANDS, select Inverter OFF and press ENTER. By doing it, the inverter is shutdown and
the non-interrupted power supply to the loads is not guaranteed.
3. Turn on the MANUAL BYPASS I3.
Remove the padlock or any other mechanical lock from the switch and turn it on.
4. Turn off the INPUT MAINS SWITCH I1.
5. Turn off the INPUT BYPASS SWITCH (RESERVE) I2.
The loads are fed from the mains directly, through the manual Bypass .
6. Turn off the OUTPUT SWITCH I4.
The above operation will be done by turning off and on the input mains SWITCH.
¡ATTENTION!
The described start up procedure must always be respected. In particular,
From now on the UPS doesn’t have any hazardous voltages, less in both the input /output terminals, which
are protected with a cover, and the DC and AC capacitors of the inverter, which have energy during some
minutes and to access to them a metallic panel must be removed.
