6. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Use the following table to resolve minor issues:
Problem
Possible cause
Solutions
In the case of
a problem in
the mains, the
operating time
is very short.
The battery is not fully
charged
Recharge the battery
leaving the UPS connected
to the mains.
The UPS is overloaded.
Disconnect critical loads.
Defective battery. It
may be due to the
ambient temperature or
inappropriate operation.
Contact Service and
Technical Support S.T.S.
The UPS does
not start up
The battery has reached
the end of its useful life
Contact Service and
Technical Support S.T.S.
Mechanical problem
The output
sockets have not
been activated
For the 650/850 VA
models, the fuse has
blown due to overload
Contact Service and

For the 1000 VA model,
the circuit breaker
tripped due to overload
Switch the UPS off and
disconnect at least one of
the loads. Disconnect the
AC network and press the
circuit breaker reset button.
Connect the UPS again and
start it up.
The batteries are
discharged
Leave the unit connected to
the mains and charging for
at least 4 hours
The unit was damaged
by a voltage peak or
overload
Contact Service and
Technical Support S.T.S.
The alarm
sounds
continuously
when connected
to the mains.
The UPS is overloaded.
Disconnect one of the
loads first. Before starting
it up again, check that the
connected load matches the
unit's power specifications.
There are no
problems in the
mains but the
unit is in battery
mode.
The mains cable plug is
not connected correctly.
Reconnect the mains cable
plug correctly.
