5.5 Brake system
Important
When you sit on the Indoor Rollator to rest, it is absolutely necessary to lock the
brakes
.
As the brake handles and the brake bar are one braking system, the brake bar also moves
when the brake handles are used. If you use the brake bar, both brake handles move.
5.5.1 Braking and locking the brake with the brake handles
Breaking
To brake the rollator, simply
pull both brake handles
upwards towards the frame.
Lock the brake
To apply the parking brake,
press both brake handles
down until you overcome a
slight resistance. Both rear
wheels are now locked.
Release the brake
To release the parking
brake, pull both brake handles
upwards.
5.5.2 Braking and locking the brake with the brake bar
Breaking
To brake the rollator, simply
pull the brake bar upwards
towards the frame at
any point. The brake bar
brakes both rear wheels
simultaneously.
Lock the brake
To apply the parking brake,
pull the brake bar upwards
until you overcome a slight
resistance. Both rear wheels
are now locked.
Release the brake
To release the parking brake,
press the brake bar down.
5.5.3 Disassembling/assembling the brake bar
Disassembly
Turn the rollator over and place it on the handrail. Now
unscrew the screws on both handles with an allen key size
2 mm.
Now you can remove the
brake bar.
Keep the brake bar together with the screws in case you want to reinstall the brake.
Assembly
To refit the brake bar, insert the brake bar into the holes provided (picture above) and tighten
both screws on the brake handles.
