All SALTON products are manufactured to ensure safety, ease of use and reliability. This 
versatile product will provide the many benefits of frying pan cooking and is economical, easy to 
use and easy to clean. 

 

Before using the appliance for the first time, read the instruction manual carefully and 
familiarize yourself with the unit. Should you pass the appliance on, please ensure that the 
instruction manual is also passed on.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed: 
 

 

Read all instructions and save them for future reference. 

 

Check that the power used, corresponds with the one indicated on the rating label 

 

Make sure that the lid knob is assembled securely before use. 

 

Always insert the temperature control probe into the unit before plugging the appliance on 
at the wall socket. 

 

 After use, turn the control dial to ‘0’, switch off the mains supply and disconnect from the 
wall. 

Always unplug from the wall outlet when the unit is not in use and before 

cleaning.

 

 

The frying pan must only be used with the Control Probe provided

.

 

 

Never immerse the unit, plug or power cord into water, or allow the plug or cord to come into 
contact with water. 

 

Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near, or by children or invalids. 

 

If using a plastic spatula, do not leave it in the frying pan when hot. 

 

Never place the appliance on a plastic, fabric or carpeted surface while cooking. 

 

Never operate the unit with a damaged power cord or plug, or if the actual unit has been 
damaged in any way. 

 

Do not use outdoors. 

 

Keep the unit away from combustible materials, open flames and hot stoves. 

 

Do not go out and leave the unit on. Always ensure that the appliance is switched OFF and 
unplugged from the wall socket. 

 

Always place the unit onto a level surface. 

 

To disconnect the plug, grasp firmly at the wall outlet and pull. Never pull on the cord to 
unplug the unit. 

 

Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces. 

 

Never attempt to open or dismantle any part of the appliance. Responsibility for failure 
cannot be accepted if this instruction has been ignored. 

 

This product is intended for household use only. Industrial or commercial use invalidates 
the warranty. 

 

To reduce the risk of electrical hazards, it is recommended not to use an extension cord, or 
plug adaptor. 

 

Always ensure the unit has cooled down before storage. 

 

Do not immerse the control probe in water.
