4.1
Getting ready for use

Insert air filter in guide rails.
● CAUTION! The appliance must not be operated without air filter; otherwise risk of malfunctions!

Switching appliance on
CAUTION! Hot surfaces, hot objects and foods! Hot foods slopping over! Heavy cook
ware!
Risk of burning! Risk of injury from heavy lifting! Note the weight of the cookware!

Work with proper back posture!

Wear protective gloves!

Use pot holders!

Exercise appropriate caution!

Place pan or pot on top of the glass ceramic cooking surface.

Use the rotary switch to switch on the appli
ance and set the required power level.
● Setting range variable

After removing the pot or pan, turn the rotary
switch to "0".
Overheating protection
● Overheating protection is installed in the hotplates. Thereby, damage is prevented.
● The overheating protection switches the heating element off in the event of insufficient energy
consumption (e.g. there is no cookware on the cooking surface or the cookware is empty).
● Never leave empty cookware on the hotplate.
4.3
Application instructions
● Observe the safety notes, see page 17 section 2.
● For optimum energy transmission, only use cookware and frying ware with level and thick base.
The contact area of the cookware and frying ware must not exceed a diameter of 33 cm. Do not
place the cookware and frying ware on the frame of the cooking area; otherwise poor heat
transfer and damage of the silicon seal.
● Only place cookware and bakeware on the clean glass ceramic cooking surface!
● Immediately remove contamination through salt, seasoning, water and food remains on the cook
ing hob.
● Place dry cookware on the hotplate. Do not place any wet, steaming saucepan lids on the glass
ceramic cooking surface.
● To keep food warm or to melt fat or butter, use only low power settings.
● Do not reduce the heat by moving the pot but by using the rotary switch.
● If the contents of the saucepan are boiling, turn down to a lower heating level.
● Close pots with lids if the cooking process permits.
● Use high-sided pots for dishes with lots of liquid to prevent them boiling over.
