Promo Function
The
PROMO
key allows the operator to account for promotional items (i.e. buy two, get one free).
By design, this key will remove the items cost from the sale, but not the count. In the example of buy
two, get one free, the reported count remains three items, but the customer is only charged for two.

key allows control of inventory by accounting for items that must be removed from
stock due to spoilage, breakage, or mistakes. With manager control, the
WASTE
key requires the
control lock to be in the
X
position. The
WASTE
key is not allowed within a sale.
Waste operations begin and end with by pressing the
WASTE
key.
