Adjustment of clearance between conditioner plate and roller
(Applies to KDC 300 S (T) i KDC 340 S (T))
Depending on size and quantity of cut grass, it may be necessary to modify settings of
conditioner plate. The higher, denser the grass, the bigger the clearance between plate and roller
should be. Proper setting should be performed experimentally, so conditioner is not choking and
PTO shaft overload clutch is not turning on. Manner of conditioner plate adjustment is provided on
Figure 19.

Replacement of flails in conditioner roller
(Applies to KDC 300 S and KDC 340 S)
Prior to commencing any operation, on each occasion check condition of bolts, on which
flails are set, as well as condition of flails themselves. If flails or bolts are worn or damaged, it is
necessary to replace them. Bear in mind, that flails should be replaced in pairs (opposite)
featuring the same weight in order to keep shaft well balanced. Not keeping the shaft well
balanced may lead to premature wearing of bearings as well as the shaft itself.
To replace flails 3 unscrew nuts 2, remove bolts 4 and mount brand new flails 3 (Fig. 20).
NOTE:
In order to tighten screw connection use new bolt M16x65 gal. cl. 10.9 and
nut M16 gal. cl. 8, tighten until play is cleared.
To disassemble a flail unscrew with open wrench (19) a nut (M16 gal. cl. self-protected 10.9),
take bolt M16x90 cl. 10.9. out and take flail out. To mount a new flail, perform the above sequence
in opposite way (Fig. 20).
