Engage the mower’s drive once the cutting unit is placed on the ground, so that oil fills the
cutterbar. At the workplace and after setting the mower in working position adjust hydro-pneumatic
unloading value as follows
:
start control panel,
lift mower on tractor's 3-point linkage up in order to protract the cylinder rod to its maximum
out of the cylinder,
then press button (
15
)
on control panel to set pressure in hydro-pneumatic assembly,
using tractor's hydraulic valve lever increase the pressure until mower's cutting unit is slightly
chattered,
turn off button (
15
)
on control panel,
set mower in working position.
Increasing the pressure– lower impact on the ground.
Reducing the pressure– higher impact on the ground.
NOTE: TOO HIGH PRESSURE IN UNLOADING ASSEMBLY DISABLES LOWERING
OF CUTTING UNITS FROM TRANSPORT TO WORKING POSITION
.
NOTE: TOO LOW PRESSURE IN UNLOADING ASSEMBLY DISABLES SETTING THE
MACHINE IN TRANSPORT POSITION. IF LOCKING PAWL IS NOT ENGAGED
WHEN THE MOWER IS BEING SWITCHED TO TRANSPORT POSITION,
INCREASE PRESSURE IN UNLOADING ASSEMBLY
.
CAUTION:
Improper unloading of the mower's cutting unit will cause increased pressure
of the bar onto the ground which may result in: faster wearing of toppings,
overloading of the cutterbar, increasing fuel consumption, damaging the turf
and causing contamination to the forage.
5.8.
Preparing mower for operation
Engage the mower’s drive once the cutting unit is placed on the ground, so that oil fills the
cutterbar. In the workplace and after the mower is in working position perform the following:
lower cutting unit so it touches the ground,
connect PTO shaft extension onto tractor's spline shaft (if only one extension was taken out) or
connect the complete PTO shaft,
choose angle of cutterbar in relation to the ground (between 0° and 5°). This angle is result of
tightening or extending the link,
slowly engage the mower drive until cutting disks reach their nominal PTO rotating speed of
950–1000 rpm. Tractor's engine rotary rate should be as low as possible, so that the fuel
consumption could be reduced,
engage proper tractor gear and start mowing. Even meadows can be mowed at any driving
speed, however as unevenness occurs reduce the speed.
CAUTION:
Folding the mower back is forbidden, as this will cause faster wearing of the
cutterbar foot or even its damage.
