9.
REPAIR AND WITHDRAWAL FROM USE
REMEMBER:
Before performing any repairs the mower must be disconnected from
the tractor.
9.1.
Repair
Before repairing or assessing whether the mower is still serviceable, the machine should be
carefully cleaned of dirt, mud and plant remains.
After checking nuts and bolts, proper slack in joints and gears we can assess if the machine is
still serviceable. If after replacement of some worn parts, the machine can be operated further, replace
all the remaining damaged parts. Also replace fasteners (bolts, nuts, cotters, etc.).
Once the machine is repaired perform the following:

make sure that all elements are installed properly,

install the removed guards,
❑
check whether screws and nuts are tightened,
❑
once all the guards are installed, perform a warm-up start to make sure the repaired machine
operates properly
9.2.
Disassembly and withdrawal from use
IMPORTANT!
When dismounting the machine pay particular attention to and additional
dangers, as crushing, cutting, wounding, concussion and abrasion. Use proper
tools and personal protective equipment: protective gloves, clothing and
footwear, eye wear, etc. Pay attention so that the machine works efficiently, and
thus it is required to secure the machine with supports.
Withdrawal of dismounted parts should conform to valid environment protection
provisions.
When the machine is no longer serviceable, (impossible to repair) it should be properly disposed
of. All remaining oil should be drained from the angle transmission and delivered to a recycling facility
and recycled. Carefully clean remaining parts with solvent and remove any recyclable parts. They should
be delivered to a proper recycling facility and recycled or reused. Remaining metal parts should be
delivered to a metal scrap point.
