by means of 3-point linkage by lowering or raising adjust the inclination of the tedder
(recommended around 15°, for
P4-420
about 13º). Tedders feature range spreading angle
adjustment.
For
P8
rotary tedders, there are two spreading angles available: 15° or 18°
depending on the position of the chassis. In order to change the angle, perform the following:
raise the tedder with the tractor's three-point linkage so that none of the wheels touch the ground
(fold the tedder into transport position if the lifting range is not sufficient,
reposition the chassis arms (
Fig. 21
) by pulling off the lock (
1
), moving the arms (
2
) and
locking it again.

The

tedder in working position for two possible positions of the spreading angle of forage

provides recommended and not recommended operating position. Setting of drive
wheel axis nearer the finger at the ground (
Fig. 22a
) results in better ground linking and prevents its
piercing into the ground. Too far a setting of wheel axis from the finger in operating position shall
cause less effective adapting of any unevenness (
Fig. 22b
).
