For
P4-420
tedder, the wheels’ position is adjusted using the "Field edge" system (
Fig. 28
).

To position the tedder at the edge of a field:
tighten the field edge system's cable,
slowly drive the tractor forward and turn the wheels in the desired direction,
slacken the cable so that the lock can activate.
After the spreading at the edge of the field is complete:
Tighten the field edge system's cable,
Slowly drive the tractor forward and turn the wheels in the position for driving straight ahead,
Slacken the cable so that the lock can activate.
With the
P8
tedder, installing the hydraulically opening windrow curtain (optional) enables the
green fodder to be spread at the edge of the field without loss of green fodder.
With the curtain open, the green fodder at the outermost rotor is directed towards the field edge,
within the field's border (
Fig. 29
).
