In the absence of specific torque values, the following chart can be used as a guide to the
maximum safe torque for a particular size and grade of fastener. There is no torque difference for
fine or coarse threads. Torque values are based on clean, dry threads. Reduce value by 10% if
threads are oiled before assembly.
7.
LUBRICATION
7.1.
Gear
On a daily basis before work, check the oil level and, if needed, refill once removing the vent

) in upper section of the gear. The oil level in the gear can be checked by opening check
plug

. If the oil level is too low, refill the oil (preferably Transol or other gearbox oil) until it is
visible in the check opening

. To drain oil use plug

. The oil capacity in the gear is approx. 8 l.

7.2.
Joints and bearings
Every 50 hours of the rake's operation lubricate points

on the gear (

), driving
trolley (

) with grease

(or other lubricant dedicated for rolling or sliding bearings
operating under temperatures between -30
o
C and +130
o
C).
