5.3. Shutdown and start-up procedures
5.3.1. Handling
Always hold the gun perpendicular to the surface to be painted.
Avoid working only with the wrist. Do not forget that cross passes do not make up for irregularities.
Spraying with the gun stopped gives a local overload. Therefore, never pull the trigger before starting the arm
movement and always release it before stopping the movement.
Take care to obtain a suitable and regular coverage of the different passes.

Shutdown procedure of the gun
ATTENTION: Before any intervention, respect the health and safety instructions see § 1 page

• Turn off the general air supply to the gun.
• Clean the gun.
• Turn off the fluid supply to the gun.
• Replace the paint with solvent.
• Relieve pressure on hoses by triggering the gun to flush pump, hose and gun.
• Disconnect the gun.
• Unscrew the gun aircap, soak it in the solvent and brush it.
• Unscrew the tip.
• Remove the needle.
• Soak the tip.
• Brush the tip.
• Clean the inside of the gun with the solvent soaked brush.
• Clean the threads of the screwed parts.
• Put the gun away.
