SETTING UP THE SHOOTING FUNCTION
METERING
This button can be used to obtain the right exposure.
1. Turn the camera power on.
2. Rotate the mode dial to the STILL IMAGE mode or MACRO
SHOT mode.
3. Do not turn the LCD monitor off.
4. Press MENU button to display the menu on the LCD
monitor. Press UP (
) / DOWN (
) button and select
[EXPOSURE].
5. The cursor can be moved by pressing the RIGHT (
)
button to the [EV] sub menu.
6. Press UP (
) / DOWN (
) button and select
[METERING].
7. The cursor can be moved by pressing the RIGHT (
)
button to the [METERING] sub menu.
8. Select the desired sub menu by pressing the UP (
) /
DOWN (
) buttons. After selecting the desired sub menu,
press the OK button to confirm the setting.
The default is FULL.
9. Press the MENU button to cancel the menu display.
METERING mode indicator
- FULL :
Exposure will be calculated based on an average of the light available in the
whole image area.
- CENTER : Exposure will be calculated based on an average of the light available in the
image area. However, the calculation will be biased towards the centre of the
image area.
- SPOT :
Use this function when there is backlight or when photographing a subject
that has little contrast.
In backlighting conditions adjust the light metering to suit the subject matter.
