SETTING UP THE SHOOTING FUNCTION

White Balance
)
The colours of the pictured image may alter according to lighting conditions
during shooting. By using this function, you will be able to obtain more
naturally coloured images depending on light conditions.
- Auto : Camera automatically selects the optimum white balance
depending on the conditions of the ambient lighting.
- Sun light : This white balance should be used to obtain shots in
normal outdoor light conditions.
- Fluorescent light : This white balance is suitable for indoor shooting
under fluorescent light conditions.
- Artificial light : This white balance is suitable for indoor shooting with
artificial or tungsten light ing.
Change the set status by using the 4 directional buttons on the ADVANCE menu screen.

This camera will control the exposure value automatically although you can
also adjust it manually.

Select the exposure value by using the left and right directional buttons
after moving the cursor bar onto EV.

If you increase the exposure you will obtain a bright er image.

If you decrease the exposure quantity you will obtain a darker image.

If you select ON, the function of digital zoom is selected and it remains
regardless of the power ON/OFF setup.

Because this camera support the digital zoom of up to two times, you can get
shot of six times zoom if you use it with the optical zoom of three times.

Refer to the page 34 about the detail information on the digital zoom shot.

If you select OFF, the function of the digital zoom is cancelled.

Start setting the exposure compensation : 0EV
¶_
This camera controls the exposure value automatically.

The set range of the exposure compensation is : -2.0 ~ +2.0EV
( 0.25EV interval )

The set exposure compensation value will remain until the power is
turned off. When you switch on the power again the exposure
compensation will automatically set itself to 0 EV (cancelling the
exposure compensation )

If you select the exposure compensation value, the exposure
compensation( ) will show on the LCD on the top panel of the
camera.
°§
Be cautious when you use the exposure compensation because the
liquid crystal monitor looks black and the exposure lacks if you use
exposure compensation inside and LCD panel looks white and the
saturation can happed if you use + exposure compensation outside.
