Wireless and network
Wi-Fi
Set up and manage your mobile device’s connections to Wi-
Fi networks. Your mobile device supports Wi-Fi a/b/g/n.

Turning Wi-Fi On or Off
Turn your mobile device’s Wi-Fi service on or off. When you
turn Wi-Fi service on, your mobile device automatically
searches for nearby available Wi-Fi networks.
Tip:
When you turn Wi-Fi service on, your device automatically
searches for available networks and displays them.
You can also turn Wi-Fi On or Off from the Quick Settings
panel.
Turn Wi-Fi On:
From the
Settings
screen, touch
Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi
. The
Wi-Fi
options screen appears.

Touch options to configure:
• Add Wi-Fi network
: Connect to a new Wi-Fi network. (For
more information, see
“Adding a Wi-Fi Network Manually”
on page 122.)
• Scan
: Search for available Wi-Fi networks.
• Wi-Fi Direct
: Establish a direct Wi-Fi connection with one or
more Wi-Fi Direct enabled devices.
