Validity period
: allows you to set the length of time for
which your text messages will be stored at the message
centre while attempts are made to deliver them.
Default recipient
: allows you to set the default
recipient’s phone number.
Message type
: allows you to set the message type (Text,
Fax, Voice, ERMES, X400 and E-Mail). Depending on the
network, the message will be converted into the selected
format.
Common
: two options are available.
Reply path: allows the recipient of your SMS message to
send you a reply via your message centre, if the service
is provided by the network.
Delivery report: allows you to activate or deactivate the
report function. When this function is activated, the
network informs you whether your message has been
delivered or not.
Profiles
: a message profile is a group of settings
required to send a message. You can use these settings
if you select the
Send by set
option when sending a
message.
Each of the message profiles has its own submenus:
Service centre

Validity period
,
Default recipient
,
Message type
and
Profile name
.
Delete All
(Menu 1-8)
You can delete all messages stored in the SIM card and
phone memories via this menu.
Put a check mark in front of the required memory (
SIM
or
Phone
) by pressing the
Select
soft key and press the
soft key to delete all messages in that memory.

4. When you receive a reply from the other party, the
reply message (indicated by the sender’s ID) is shown
below your original message (indicated by your ID).
5. Write your reply and send it by pressing the
soft key.
6. Repeat this procedure for each chat message.
Preset Messages
(Menu 1-6)
Using this menu, you can preset up to ten messages
that you use most frequently. When you access this
menu, the preset message list is displayed.
1. Scroll to the required message or an empty entry by
pressing
the or key.
2. Press the
soft key and enter a new message or
edit the old message.
3. Press the
Save
soft key to save the message.
Settings
(Menu 1-7)
Via this menu, you can set up default SMS information.
The following options are available.
Service centre
: allows you to store or change the
number of your SMS centre required when sending
messages. You must obtain this number from your
service provider.
