CHAPTER 9.
System Operation
This section describes the features required for system management.
9.1 Access Control Management
SCM Administrator can control access for operators (Engineering, Technician and
Customer-3 Levels supported).
Administrator can manage operators’ IDs, passwords, levels, classes, login timeout
password duration, forced password change, etc.
Administrator can use control access by entering user terminal information.
9.2 Process Management
Multiple processes (programs) run organically on the IPX-S300B.
Naturally, the IPX-S300B features a process manager which manages such processes by
performing the following functions.
Starting and stopping the IPX-S300B
Process management
Starting and stopping individual processes by operator command
Retrieving process version information
Starting and Stopping IPX-S300B
IPX-S300B automatic start
When you configure the database and IP settings after installing the IPX-S300B, the
system restarts and the IPX-S300B starts automatically. Also, when you power on the
IPX-S300B server, the IPX-S300B starts automatically.
IPX-S300B manual start and stop
To manually start or stop the IPX-S300B, you should connect the console port of the
IPX-S300B and execute the reboot command.
Or you can reboot system in SCM Administrator.
