Display Related
Q1 The LCD screen is blank.
A
Adjust the LCD screen brightness. Use the
<Fn+Up Arrow>
,
<Fn+Down
Arrow>
keys.
Q2 The screen saver disturbs screen viewing during Media Player or video file
operation.
A
Under the Media Player Options, in Player > Enable Screen Saver During Use,
uncheck the box and restart the player.
Q3 When the horizontal or vertical span function is used, connecting an
external monitor with a screen resolution lower than 1024x768 pixels in
Windows XP or 2000, the screen image is not displayed on the external
monitor.
A
The horizontal or vertical span mode does not support a screen resolution lower
than 1024x768 pixels.
Set the screen resolution to higher than or equal to 1024x768 pixels.
Q4 Running the program after configuring the horizontal or vertical span mode
displays a program window spanned to the LCD and the external display
device.
A
Since Dual View (Extended Desktop) mode enables each display device to
operate as if there were two separate graphics cards, you can select the screen
resolution and color quality for each display device. Therefore dual view mode
displays a program window on either the LCD or the external monitor, while the
horizontal or vertical span mode may display a program window onto the LCD
and the external monitor because the horizontal or vertical span mode displays a
single screen image spanned over two display devices.
Q5 In DOS mode, changing the full screen DOS mode by pressing
<ALT+Enter> key displays a broken image for a short period.
A
The DOS mode which supports 2 Byte characters such as Korean and Japanese
runs in graphic not in text mode. In this case, a broken image may be displayed
while changing the video mode settings.
