Operating the oven
Operating the oven
Broiling
The Broil function allows you to cook and brown foods using only a top heat
source. The oven door must remain closed during broiling. The meat or fish should
always be placed on a broiling grid in a broiling pan.
CAUTION
If a fire occurs during broiling, leave the oven door closed and turn off the
oven. If the fire continues, throw baking soda on the fire or use a foam-type fire
extinguisher. Do not put water or flour on the fire. Flour may explode and water
can cause a grease fire to spread. Both can cause personal injury and/or property
damage.
