2. Use your keypad to enter the contact's name. (For example, to
enter "Bill", press
twice,
three times,
three
times, and
three times again.) Characters scroll as follows:
After a character is entered, the cursor automatically advances to the
next space after two seconds or when you enter a character on a
different key.
Entering Numbers and Symbols
To enter numbers:

Select the
Number
mode and press the appropriate key. (See
“Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 24.)
To enter symbols:

Select the
Symbols
mode. (See “Selecting a Character Input
Mode” on page 24.) To enter a symbol, press the appropriate
key displayed above the desired symbol character.
Using Caller ID
Caller ID allows people to identify a caller before answering the phone
by displaying the number of the Received call. If you do not want your
number displayed when you make a call, just follow these easy steps.
