Preset Message List
Menu 2-4
Using this menu, you can preset up to five messages
that you use most frequently. This menu shows the
preset message list. Scroll through the list using
or . When the required message number
appears, press the
Options
soft key.
The following options are available.
Edit:
allows you to write a new message or edit the
selected preset message.

: For further information on how to enter text in
your message, refer to page 33.
Send Message:
allows you to recall the selected
p reset message. Once you have completed the
message, you can send, save and send, or simply save
i t .
Delete:
allows you to delete the selected preset
message.
Setup
Menu 2-5
Via this menu, you can set up default information on
the SMS feature.
Service Centre:
allows you to store or change the
number of your SMS centre required when sending
text messages. You must obtain this number from
your service provider.

Default Type:
allows you to set the default message
type (Text, Voice, Fax, X.400, Email, and ERMES). The
network can convert the message into the selected
format.
Default Validity:
allows you to set the default time
period for which your messages are stored in the
SMS centre while attempts are made to deliver
them.
Possible values are One Hour, 6 Hours, 24 Hours, One
Week and the Maximum authorised by your service
provider.

Menu 2-6
This network service allows you to receive text
messages on various topics, such as the weather or
t r a ffic. Messages are displayed immediately they are
received, provided that:
• The phone is in the idle mode
• The

option is set to

• The message channel is currently active in the
channel list
If the message is long, press
on the left side of
the phone one or more times.
