Sounds
Volume
You can adjust the volume of your phone using either the Menu or the volume keys
on the side of your phone. You can adjust the sound settings for Ringer, Earpiece,
Headset, Speakerphone, Text and Multimedia, Voicemail, Alarms, and Application.
To adjust the volume from the menu:

Select an option to change.

Select a volume setting.
Tip:
You can adjust the ringer volume in Idle mode (or the earpiece volume during
calls) using the volume key on the side of your phone.
Ringer Type
Different ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages. With the
Ringer Type options (
Menu
), you can assign ringer types to
individual Contacts entries, types of calls, schedules, types of alarms, and types of
messages. Ringer types available for assignment include:

Ring Tones
:
include a variety of standard ringer types and musical
melodies.
•
Melodies
: includes a variety of short songs.
•
My Content
: includes all the ringtones you have previously downloaded.

My MMS Content
: includes all the MMS content you have previously
downloaded.
Voice Calls
You can select a different ringer type for each type of received call: those with
Caller ID, no Caller ID, and calls while roaming:
