Indicates that the preceding digit occurred zero or one time.
[ ]
Indicate a range. A range is a sequence of characters enclosed in the
brackets; only numeric characters from 0 to 9 are allowed in the range.
( )
Indicate a pattern and are the same as the regular expression rule.
The only wild card symbol usable in both answer-address and
incoming-called-number is period(.).
