Copying or Dubbing a Video
Audio
The VCR can record a program in stereo. It can also be set to record the Secondary Audio Program (SAP) of any broad-
cast with second language audio. The VCR records the same audio on both the Hi-Fi and linear tracks on the tape.
Stereo Programs

Set the audio out to STEREO in the VCR Function
Setup menu (See page 11).
You can also select LEFT, RIGHT or MONO.
Note: When the stereo sound is poor.
Select MONO for sound without noise.
To Record SAP Programs

Set the audio out to SAP in the VCR Function Setup
menu. “SAP” will be displayed on the TV screen when a
SAP broadcast is received. Press the REC button for
SAP recording.
*When “MAIN” is displayed, stereo is selected.

During playback, set the Audio to HI-FI, LEFT,
RIGHT or to MONO. When playing a tape that is not
Hi-Fi, this function will have no effect.

To make a copy, or “dub” of a video, you need two VCRs and two RCA-type cables.

Attach one end of the Video cable to the Video OUT
jack of the playback VCR and the other end to the Video
In jack of the record VCR.

Attach one end of the Audio cable to the Audio OUT
jack(s) on the playback VCR, and the other end to the
Audio IN jack(s) on the record VCR.

Set your Samsung VCR to record, and the other
VCR to play back. Press the CH/TRK

button to
select the LINE jacks on the rear of the VCR.

Press play on the playback VCR, and record on the
recording VCR.
Note: Rental tapes with Copyguard protection cannot
be copied. Before you copy a rental tape, check
first.
