Syslog messages are not sent to the syslog server
Symptoms
The alarm and log messages generating in the APC system are not sent to the syslog server.
Possible Causes
The syslog server is not configured.
Internet Protocol (IP) address and port of the syslog server are not configured.
Alarm and log messages are not sent due to the filter settings.
Solutions
1) Check the alarm message settings. Check the alarm filter information (‘Alarm Group
Filter’ and ‘Alarm Level filter’), and if the filter information is not setup, use the
‘alarm group system’ and ‘alarm level major’ commands to configure the following
settings.

2) Check the system log message settings. Check that ‘Debug Log Mode’ is ‘On’ and
check the filter information (‘Debug Log Module level filter’). If the filter information
is not configured, configure the following settings.
