This DVR data harddisk occupation per channel/hour is as following table
according to different bit rate and resolution:

According to this table, for a 4-channel DVR and 1TB hard disk, if the resolution
is CIF and video bit rate is “excellent”, then the mainframe can record the days in
following formula 24 hours per day:
N = 1000G * 1000 / (4 * 300 * 24) = 34.7 days
Where, N is the number of days, 1000G * 1000 = 1000000MB is the total
capacity of the harddisk, 4 * 300 * 24 = 28800 is the harddisk space occupied by
4 cameras 24 hours per day.
The data from different environment, signal source and bit rate will be different,
so the data can only serve for reference.
