AMBIENT AIR CURTAINS: CAS-900 / 1200 / 1500 M PD
INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL
1. INTRODUCTION
• The CAS are ambient air curtains designed to restrict the effect that outdoor airfl ows entering through an open
door may have on an air-conditioned area.
• The Installation and Operation Manual is the formative reference document written by S&P, and is intended for both
installers and users.
• The aim of this manual is to provide the necessary information for the correct installation and operation of the
equipment, highlighting the hazards that may arise from incorrect use.
• For using and operating the equipment, it is essential to precisely follow the instructions provided within this ma-
nual.
• These air curtains are regulated by the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and the Electromagnetic Compatibility
Directive 2014/30/EU. The EC mark certifi es conformity of the product with the essential safety requirements of the
aforementioned European Community Directives.
2. CONTROL UPON RECEPTION
• The curtain must be delivered safely packaged and in perfect condition. The packaging and/or its contents may
become damaged during shipping. It is recommended that all units are examined at the time of reception in order
to check for visible damages.
• If any damages are identifi ed, contact S&P to determine how to proceed. S&P reserves the right to carry out their
own inspection.
• Check that the identifi cation data on the unit match your order information. The identifi cation plate with the CE
mark is located on the lower exterior of the curtain. The plate specifi es the S&P identifi cation data, the model, the
serial number and the year of manufacture, as well as the specifi c technical data.
3. SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING: SOLER & PALAU Sistemas de Ventilación S.L.U. (S&P) shall not be liable for damage to the machine and/
or injury to personnel resulting from failure to comply with the safety warnings set forth in this Manual.
WARNING: It is very important to adhere to and respect the safety warnings. Non-compliance may cause personal
injury and/or damage the machine.
WARNING: Any use of the product other than those described herein is deemed improper and therefore unsafe. Such
non-intended uses may cause injury and damage the equipment. Any use of the product other than the intended use
as described herein is considered non-compliant and, therefore, S&P shall refuse all liability.
• CAS curtains are designed to operate within the following temperature ranges: -10°C to +40°C.
• It is strictly forbidden to modify any product components or to replace them with non-original S&P spares.
• To avoid placing the personnel operating the machine at risk during the phases of installation or cleaning, the fo-
llowing personal protection equipment (PPE) must be used:
