control lever.
This should lock the throttle lock button, so both hands
are free to operate the device.
8) Pull the starter grip (fig.33) completely as many
as 3 times.
9) Push the carburettor choke lever (fig.34) down
.
10) Pull the start cord (fig.33) until the engine starts up.
CAUTION - DANGER !! The engine starts
at half acceleration and as a result the line
head is spinning.
Let the engine run a few seconds.
11) Press the throttle contol lever briefly (fig. 35
item1) and the throttle lock button will disengage
automatically. The engine will thus return to idle and
the line head will stop after a short while.
STOP ENGINE
1) To stop the engine, shut the power switch (fig. 35
item 2) “OFF”.
CAUTION! The line head continues to spin
for a while even after the power switch has
been shut OFF. Hold both handles firmly until the
line head comes to a complete stop.
WARM ENGINE STARTUP
Proceed as with a cold engine startup but with the
choke lever down (see fig.34).
7. OPERATION
HOW TO USE THE BRUSH CUTTERS
1) Couple the belt harness (fig.36 item 1) to the ring
(fig.36 item 2).
2) Hold the appliance on the right side as shown in
fig.37-38.
ADJUSTING THE LENGTH OF THE CUTTING
LINE
The line head supplied requires manual adjustment.
Before the cutting line has worn as far as halfway
restore the length by pulling and then turning the
spool (fig.39).
If too much line is pulled out, the length is automatically
adjusted by the limiter blade during rotation.
TRIMMING GRASS
With the line head held parallel to the ground,
proceed swinging the trimmer to the right and left
(fig. 40). Keep the engine running at full speed for a
clean trim.
TRIMMING AROUND OBSTACLES, PLANTS
AND FENCES
Keep the end of the line (fig. 40) just clear of obstacles.
The inclination of the head (fig. 41) may improve
trimming efficiency. Do not knock obstacles with the
line head to avoid cutting lines.
Should lines snap, replace them as outlined below.
8. REPLACING A CUTTING LINE
For rewinding a new line on the original spool:
A) Use a plastic line 2 mm in diameter specially
designed for strimmers.
ATTENTION DANGER! DO NOT USE
METAL WIRE
AT ALL! DO THIS JOB WITH THE
ENGINE OFF
