There is no automatic downlink message queueing implemented in the gateway.
To send another message to the same device, it should be checked that any previous message was transmitted and
acknowledged by the device.
It can be checked that the message was transmitted to the device by listening to the uplink topic name with a suffix
/downlinkack: when getting an “ack” message, the gateway has received the downlink message; when getting a
“sent” message, the gateway has transmitted the downlink message over the LoRa® radio and the downlink message
is purged.
Checking if the device actually received the message can be done by looking at next uplink messages from the device
(device dependent).
Topic example for a downlink message:
"/Kontron/TRACe/1117301020010/Lora/DEVICE_TYPE/DEVICE_EUI/downlinkack"
It is possible to purge a downlink message which has not been acknowledged so far by issuing a null message, a
message of length 0, to the /downlink topic of the target device.
6.4.
MQTT Clients
Many clients for many platforms can be used to connect to the broker.
Examples:
Mosquitto clients (Windows & Linux) https://mosquitto.org
MyMQTT (Android application, but not supports Secure MQTT)
MQTTfx (Windows) http://mqttfx.jfx4ee.org/
