FM/AM Bandwidth narrowing
In order to obtain better reception of weaker
F
M/AM stations, your
radio has a function to narrow the FM/AM bandwidth to reduce high
frequency noise.
1.
S
elect the FM band or AM band by pressing the Source button.
2. Press and release the Menu button, then rotate the Tuning control
knob until “FM WIDTH”
or
“AM WIDTH”
shows on the display. Press
and release the
Select button, the “WIDTH” will flash and
then rotate
the Tuning control knob until “NARROW” appears and flashes
on the
display .Press and release the Select button to confirm the setting.
3. To return to width, press and release the Menu button, then rotate the
Tuning control knob until “FM NARROW”
or
“AM NARROW”
shows
on the display. Press and release the
Select button, the “NARROW”
will flash and then rotate the Tuning control knob until “WIDTH”
appears and flashes on the display. Press and release the Select
button to confirm the setting.
Note:
Sangean suggests activating the “NARROW” when listening to
talk Radio programs. This may improve sound quality. Please note that
activation of the “NARROW” may cause Stereo invalid and produce
mono sound.
Presetting stations – FM/AM
You may store your preferred FM and AM radio stations to the preset
station memories. The procedure for setting presets and using them
to tune stations is the same for FM and AM modes, and is described
below. Please note that 9 memory presets for each band can be
accessed via remote control.
1. Press and release the standby button to switch on your radio.
2. Tune to the required station as previously described.
3. Press and hold the required Preset button, the corresponding “Px”
will appear and flash. Continue holding down this button until radio
beeps once. The station will be stored under the chosen preset
number. Repeat this procedure for the remaining presets.
Note:
Stations stored in preset memories may be overwritten by
following the above procedure.
Recalling a preset station- FM/AM
1. Press and release the standby button to switch on your radio.
2. Select the required frequency band by pressing the Source button.
3. Momentarily press and release the required Preset button, your radio
will tune to the station in preset memory.
Note:
The display will show ‘Empty Px’ if no station has been stored to
that preset.
