NOTE:
The tracks may slip when the machine is
traveling uphill. Use the arm to help the
machine travel uphill as necessary.
•
To maintain machine balance on an incline, extend the
boom and arm uphill and keep them 8 in.–12
in.
(20
cm–30
cm) (9) off the ground. Travel at low speed.
•
When traveling uphill, keep the travel motors (10) at
the rear of the machine.
•
When traveling downhill, keep the bucket (11) in the
traveling direction and 8 in.–12
in.
(20
cm–30
cm)
above the ground. Lower the bucket immediately if the
machine slips or loses balance.
Engine Stalls on an Incline
If the engine stalls when the machine is on an incline, lower the bucket to the ground immediately, move all control
levers to the neutral position, and restart the engine.
When the engine stalls on an incline, do not use the left joystick to swing the machine. The upper structure will
swing due to its weight.
Before traveling up a steep incline, allow the machine to warm up sufficiently.
