Insert the UPS input plug into the utility power supply (wall outlet, etc.).
Fully insert the plug so that the plug is not loose.
Connect the UPS input cable as follows
according to the local power supply environment
in which the UPS will be used.
Input plug (Viewed from direction of prong)
When the AC input power supply is used in a
single-wire grounded
power supply environment,
always connect the ground phase to the N terminal.

Check that the control panel on the front of the UPS is as follows.
[ALARM (red)] OFF
[INPUT (green)] Lit
[OUTPUT (green)] OFF
[ECO (green)] OFF
[INV.ON (green)] OFF
The lit status of the control
panel LEDs are displayed in this
instruction manual as indicated
on the right.
For the 5 seconds immediately after the input
plug is inserted, the LED indicating the UPS
output voltage setting blinks. Then, after
approximately 10 seconds, [INPUT (green)] is lit.

Start the UPS following the procedure below.
6-1 Slide the control panel cover upward.
6-2 Hold down
for at least 1
second.

Check that the control panel is as follows.
[ALARM (red)] OFF
[INPUT (green)] Lit
[OUTPUT (green)] Lit
[ECO (green)] OFF
[INV.ON (green)] Lit
After approximately 1 second, [OUTPUT
(green)] lights.
[ECO (green)] turns OFF or lights, depending on
the UPS operating status.
• [ECO (green)] OFF: When in Double
Conversion mode
• [ECO (green)] Lit: When in Economy mode
[INV.ON (green)] blinks fast or lights, depending
on the UPS operating status.
• [INV.ON (green)] fast blinking: During
asynchronous inverter operation
• [INV.ON (green)] Lit: During synchronous
inverter operation

To charge the UPS, leave the UPS running for 12 hours.
You can run a power outage simulation test after charging the UPS for several
hours.
Once the UPS has been charged for several hours, proceed to step 9 to run the
power outage simulation test.
A 12-hour or longer charge is required to supply
the backup power properly in the event of a
power outage. The UPS can be connected to
load equipment and function even when it is not
fully charged at startup because the batteries
charge while the UPS is running. However, if a
power outage occurs at that stage, the full
capacity of the backup function may not be
available.
When an extension battery is used, extra
charging time is required for the extension
battery. See the instruction manual of the
extension battery.
Hook your finger, and
slide the cover upward.

Hold down for at least 1
