Preparation:
POWER switch: ON
Set the gray chart (VJ8-0277) to the pattern box (VJ8-0190).
If using the color viewer (VJ8-0007), attach the gray chart
(VJ8-0277) to the front of the screen with sellotape or some-
thing similar.
Setting of pattern box (VJ8-0190):
Color temperature: 3100 (K)
Luminance: 900 (cd/m

Setting of color viewer (VJ8-0007):
Color temperature: 5500 (K)
Luminance: 900 (cd/m

)
Distance: Fix at the place where the face angle sizes match.
(Place a cloth or similar over the top to shade from extra-
neous light.)
Adjusting method:
1. Set to REC mode and then turn on TV mode without image
stabilization activated.
2. Connect the camera and the computer by using the USB
cable.
3. Place the camera on its side.
4. Double-click on the DscCalDi.exe.
5. Click the "Monitor" in the LCD "Test".
6. Adjust the position of the camera to align the angle of view.
Set up the camera so that the surface of the lens is at a
distance of 5 cm from the gray chart, and the edge of the
black portion and the border of the transparent section of
the chart are flush with the top of the LCD screen to set the
angle of view.
7. Input “171” in the Cal Mode dialog box, and click the “Ok”.
8. The adjustment result will appear on the screen.
Adjustment value determination
If “2CH MATHING ADJUST END:” is displayed, adjustment is
okay.
If “MATHING ADJUST ENVIRONMENT TOO DARK” is dis-
played, turn toward a brighter direction and then readjust.
If “MATHING ADJUST ENVIRONMENT TOO BRIGHT” is dis-
played, turn toward a darker direction and then readjust.
If “MATHING ADJUST ENVIRONMENT ERR: ???” or
“MATHING ADJUST Err: Table not refreshed” is displayed, re-
adjust.
4. CCD White Point Defect Detect Adjustment
Preparation:
POWER switch: ON
Adjustment method:
1. Double-click on the DscCalDi.exe.
2. Select “CCD Defect” on the LCD “Test”, and click the “Yes”.
3. After the adjustment is completed, OK will display.
