5.0  Maintaining the Fan/Filter Chassis

5.1

Motor Maintenance

The motor in your hood does not require significant routine maintenance.

If there is noticeable fan vibration:

1.

Disconnect the unit’s power supply.

2.

Inspect the fan blades and chassis interior for particulate build-up.

3.

Remove the particulate build-up with an application-appropriate process. Consult Sentry Air
Systems on this process.

4.

Connect the unit’s power supply, then turn on unit.

5.

If vibration is evident after particulate removal, contact us for additional assistance:

5.2

Cleaning your Hood

Clean up spills immediately.

For general cleanliness of your hood, use a non-marring cleaner like the one in section 5.2.1.
Detergent and water can also be used.

To disinfect the surfaces of your hood, use a cleaner like the one noted in section 5.2.2.

After cleaning the hood, make sure all parts are dry before operating.

5.2.1  Clean and Polish Pack (SS-000-PK)

Unplug this equipment before performing maintenance or
replacing filters.

Never use acetone or other corrosive solvents on the hood or on
the lid. These substances mar plastics.

When cleaning your hood, use personal protective equipment

(PPE).

This clean and polish kit is designed for use on
acrylic and polycarbonate. Other cleaning
solutions have the potential to scratch or mar
these materials.
