In the  next step some pieces of crumpled  paper and wood are  to be placed on the 

furnace. 

Fire  up  the lighting material introduced  into  the  furnace space.  Once it  is  burning 

– use  an opening  of  fuel load - cleaning door  in order to  deliver a  thin  layer of 

coal. Once  coal is burning, use the same  opening  for introducing a slightly thicker 

layer  of coal again,  once  it is glowing, the furnace chamber  may be filled with  fuel 

(prior    to  that  double  door  should  be  closed).  In  the  next  step  the    position  of    air 

intake dosage flap should be determined.

 

This position is  established by means  of regulation screw or string and  air draught 

regulator. This way,  heating capacity  and  temperature  required  may  be  obtained. 

Temperature  may  be controlled  by  thermometer. 

In  case  of  fire  in  boiler  went  out  during  fire  up  operation  a  furnace  must  be  

cleaned,  boiler’s  channel should be ventilated and fire up should start again. During 

the  process a smoking or sweating  of boiler may occur.   Once boiler and  chimney 

duct get hot, those adverse  phenomena should go away. 

During normal exploitation of boiler in the “traditional combustion” mode burning  

process is based on periodic refueling.  Single  load  of  basic  fuel  is  sufficient  for  5  

hours  of  boiler  operation  at  rated  power.  With  lower capacity the period of slow 

burning (time gap between refueling) may be elongated to several hours. 

 

6.3. 

CLEANING THE BOILER

 

In  order  to  use  fuel  in  the  safe  manner,  and  to  get  declared  boiler’s  power  

and    heat    efficiency,  keeping  adequate  cleanliness  of  combustion  chamber  and 

convection channels is indispensable.  

Convection    channels,    where    ashes  are    tend  to  gather    should  be  cleaned  

systematically,    every  3÷7    days.  For  this  purpose  the  boiler  is  provided  with  tools. 

Convection channels cleaning is performed using cleaning wholes (pos. 18) placed in 

the  upper  part  of  boiler  and  front  charge-cleaning  door  (pos.6).  Once  cleaning 

operation  is  accomplished,  whose  holes  should  be  closed.  Forming  dust  should  be 

removed  using  door  of  side  wall  washout  opening  (pos.  26).  Failure  to  follow  these 

recommendations may result in high heat losses, and render difficult gases circulation 

in consequence make smoke coming out of boiler. In case of using a fuel prone to
