1.  Names and Functions of Components 

1-1    Main unit

  Temperature measurement (infrared radiation sensing) section: 

Detects the infrared energy emitted from the object.

  Laser sighting section 

Pressing  the  measurement  key  and  the  laser  marker  key  simultaneously  activates  laser 
sighting.

  Battery lid: Houses a 9-V battery 6F22 (006P).

  Hand strap: Used this strap through your wrist.    Lens cap is attached.

  Lens cap 

Used  to  protect  the  lens  from  dust  or  foreign  matter  in  the  measurement  window.  Also,  it 
protects users from viewing the laser in case the laser marker is activated accidentally.

  LCD: Displays the temperature reading and other related information.

  Measurement key: Activates temperature measurement.

  Backlight ON/OFF key: Sets the backlight function on or off.

  Laser marker ON/OFF key: Sets the laser marker function on or off.

  7-segment display: Displays the temperature reading.

  Laser sighting mark: Lit while laser marker is activated.

  Unit of measurement: Temperature is displayed in Centigrade.

  Low-battery mark: Lit when battery power is insufficient. When this mark lights, replace the 

battery.
