Replacing Batteries
When the batteries are insufficient, the following phenomenon occurs. Replace batteries immediately.

The display dims.
⚫
The volume of alarm sound gets smaller or buzzer does not sound at all.
⚫
Sensor does not work (the timer does not start even if put a hand over the sensor)

Rotate two screws on the battery lid counterclockwise
with a screwdriver until these are free.

Remove the battery compartment lid.
(3)
Remove the used batteries and load new batteries
with the right polarity (+ and -).
(4)
Reinstall the battery lid and secure with the screws
in the reverse order of removal procedure

When the unit got wet, wipe the unit with a
soft cloth and then, replace the batteries.

Before close the battery compartment lid, be
sure to check that the rubber packing (black)
is securely grooved.

Replace the batteries with new batteries of
the same type
·
Do not dispose of exhausted batteries in a fire.
·
For environmental conservation, dispose of used batteries in compliance with local
rules and regulations.
Troubleshooting
If countdown does not start, check “Possible cause” and take corrective action referring to the table
below.

Countdown does not
start when a hand is
held over the sensor.
The countdown time is not set.
Set the countdown time before using
the unit.
The non-contact sensor is not
yet ready to sense.
Upon completion of setting, wait for
at least five seconds (until the
"minute" and "second" light up)
before using the unit.
The non-contact sensor is
electrostatically charged too
strongly due to the
environmental conditions.
Upon installation of the unit, wait for
two minutes or so to allow the unit to
adapt to the surrounding conditions
before using the unit.
Remove the batteries, and then
reinstall them before using the unit.
