AC POW ER
Caution:
1. Use ONLY with the AC Adapter supplied (AC 120V, DC7.5V, 500m A).
2. The AC adapter m ust remain connected at all tim es (It is norm al for the adapter to
be warm during use).
3. Do not remove the battery from the handset to charge it. Never throw the battery
into a fire, disassemble it, or heat it.
4. Do not rem ove or dam age the battery casing.
5. If you do not expect to use your phone for a m onth or longer, rem ove the batteries.
Batteries can leak chem icals that can destroy electronic parts.
6. For the longest battery life and optimal operation of the phone system ALW AYS
completely charge and discharge the batteries. 2 batteries have been included to
allow you to keep 1 battery continually charging for use in a low battery condition.
Spare / Back Up Battery
The extra battery can enable the phone function temporarily during electrical outage.
You can also use the spare battery pack to replace a drained handset battery to ensure
uninterrupted use.
1. Open the spare battery com partm ent by
pressing the release button on the left side of
the base unit.
2. Place a battery pack in the drawer with the
term inals facing the charge contacts inside.
3. Close the drawer. Make sure the Spare
Battery LED lights, and charging begins.
4. The LED lights until the battery is rem oved from
the compartm ent.
Changing drained handset battery in the middle of a call
W hen the handset displays “LOW BATTERY” in the m iddle of a telephone call, you can
swap the call to the base unit speakerphone first and then change the handset battery
following these sim ple steps:
1. Press the [
] key on the base unit. The call is then
transferred to a 3-way call conference between the
handset, the base unit and the external party.
2. Press the [OFF] key on the
handset; the call will be
totally swapped from the
handset to the base unit
speakerphone.
