Changing the battery
As soon as the
symbol appears in the display, the battery has run out and requires replacement. Always
replace the discharged battery with one of the same type. To do this, proceed as follows:
Pull the cover off the battery compartment. The battery can now be accessed. Remove the used battery with the
help of a pointed object (pincers, small screwdriver etc.) and put the new battery ( LR 41 or SR41) in. Please
make sure it is the right way round. You can purchase batteries from jewellers or electrical shops.
Measurement checks
Checking the accuracy of the thermometer is not necessary in most cases. If you require a measurement check
(at your expense), please send the thermometer to our customer service address. Please make sure it is well-
packaged and that the correct postage stamps are applied.
Cleaning and disinfection
Please only use an alcohol pad. Alcohol pads can be purchased from any dispensing chemist. We recommend
the use of Mucocit
-F2000 or Helipur
Hplus to disinfect the thermometer when it is being used in medical
facilities. Both are effective against all hospital-typical pathogens and can be purchased from any dispensing
chemist.
Microbial contamination
Because a hundred percent disinfection is not possible under conditions at home, it is urgently recommended
that every patient should use their own fever thermometer.
