Applicable standards

These gloves are designed to provide protection against

the hazards associated with the use of hand knives and

blades and with activities such as deboning meat and

working with plastics, leather, and wood.

They were tested and approved to the

relevant paragraphs of the European

Standard EN 1082-1:1996: Protective

clothing - Gloves and arm guards protec-

ting against cuts and stabs by hand knives

Part 1: Chain mail gloves and arm guards.

The gloves were tested to penetration resistance and

tensile strength and passed the minimum performance

requirements.

General information

These gloves can be worn continuously for several hours

and do not contain toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, or other

substances that can affect the health or hygiene of the

user adversely. No allergic reactions due to skin contact

with this glove are known.

Protection limit

– Only the metal mesh material of these gloves is cut-

resistant. The levels of performance mentioned are

only valid for: the palms of the gloves and gloves that

are new, unwashed, and in their original condition (i.e.,

have not been repaired).

– These levels of performance were achieved from tests

conducted according to the conditions defined by the

applicable standards.

– Take proper care when working with hand knives,

protection is limited to cuts and stabs.

– Make sure to fit securely (excess of mesh/material can

get caught in moving parts). Glove sizes are indicated

by colour coded straps. The free ends of straps may

need to be shortened to 25 mm or less.

– Due to ageing, wear, environmental factors or

chemicals including oils and solvents, the protection

levels of these gloves may decrease in time. Make

sure to inspect for damages before each time using and

consult your safety responsible manager in case of

doubts about performance.

– If being used in extreme temperatures, we recom-

mend wearing cotton or polyethylene (PE) gloves

underneath. Ensure that the fit remains secure (i.e.,

not loose) and that the strap does not hang longer

than 2.5 cm past the buckle. If creating a proper,

secure fit leads to the strap hanging longer than 2.5

cm past the buckle, please use scissors to cut the

material to a safe, sufficient length.

Please note:  while these gloves are ambidextrous,

they are intended for wear on the left hand; see below

illustration for instructions on how to change the strap for

right-hand use.
