NSIGHT 30 Scanner
NOTE:
Scantron recommends closing all other programs
before performing calibration.

The next step is to calibrate the scanner for data col-
lection. The calibration program reads Normalization
& Calibration sheets (supplied with the scanner, see
photo below) and does two things:
•
Checks the black, gray, and white areas of the
sheet to create a calibration table that maps the
256 gray levels to the 16 levels used for data col-
lection.
•
Targets the location of the black dots for position-
ing purposes.
These functions ensure that the scanner will read pro-
duction data collection forms properly.
NOTE:
The part number for a box of 80 Normalization
& Calibration Sheets is 342 760 014.
