SPECIFICATION TEXTS
The fire damper BKP-EN conforms to the product standard
EN 15650.
The BKP-EN has been tested according to EN 1366-2. CE mark-
ing and Declaration of Performance (DoP) in accordance with
the German Construction Products Regulation.
Its classification according to EN 13501-3 is EI90 (v

According to Directive 2014/34/EU, EC Certificate of Conform-
ity Number EPS 13 ATEX 2 610 X, its use in areas subject to
explosion hazards is permitted, not only with spring return ac-
tuator ExMax-5.10-BF (X10 - X15), including safety tempera-
ture limiter (FireSafe or ExPro-TT), but also with mechanical
trigger via fusible link (manual actuation with or without ATEX
limit switch ES-Ex). The fire damper is marked as follows ac-
cording to ATEX:

when using the safety temperature limiter FireSafe.
Housing made of galvanised sheet steel without circumferen-
tial stop profiles for maximum possible free cross-section and
an inspection opening on the B side (bottom), from B ≥ 200
mm.
Exchangeable damper blade made of abrasion-resistant min-
eral silicate board. Wear-resistant elastomer seal on the
damper blade and intumescent seal on the housing to meet
the cold and hot leakage requirements according to EN 1366-
2.
Any accessories that may be required for the respective
mounting situation (flexible spigots) are listed in separate po-
sitions of the bill of quantities.
For connection to ventilation ducts (one- or two-sided), air
flow direction optional.
Connection to smoke detectors with general building supervi-
sory approval possible.
When using the smoke alarm system type RMS, the additional
information in the Technical documentation must be ob-
served.
Installation:
In solid walls, solid ceilings and lightweight parti-
tion walls with metal posts and panelling on one or
both sides as classified according to EN 13501-2 or
comparable national standards.
With concrete base on solid ceilings.
With installation frame type ER-P1 in lightweight
partition walls with metal posts and panelling on
one or both sides as classified according to EN
13501-2 or comparable national standards.
