Preparations
Unpack the full package contents (“Overview / scope of delivery” on page 10) and check
that everything is there and intact.
Transport/send the heating element always in the original packaging to prevent it from
becoming damaged. Keep the packaging for this purpose.
Dispose of packaging material no longer needed in accordance with the applicable reg
-
ulations. If you notice any transport damage, immediately contact the dealer from whom
you acquired the heating element.
Attaching and connecting the heating element
You can attach the heating element in any position of your choice below the water sur
-
face with the holders supplied (Fig. 1/3).

Make sure the power of the heating element is appropriate for the volume of water
to be heated (“Technical data” on page 10).

Slide the supplied holders (Fig. 1/3) onto the heating element.

The heating capacity is reduced automatically if the heating element is not surrounded
completely by water (“dry running”).
- Make sure the heating element is always completely surrounded by water during
operation. Never operate the heating element if the heating element is sur
-
rounded only partially by water.

Use a thermostat to prevent uncontrolled heating of the heating element (e. g.
SCHEGO thermostat TR2, art. no. 113).
ATTENTION:
The heating element is operated with electric power. The connectors of the heating
element are not designed for outdoor use.
- Use the heating element only in closed, dry rooms.
- Protect the mains plug (Fig. 1/5) from moisture.
- Operate the heating element only together with a residual-current device with
maximum 30 mA.
ATTENTION:
The heating element is fastened with suction cups that do not adhere to uneven, dirty
surfaces. Surfaces can become damaged if the heating element falls down.
- Select a suitable, smooth surface to fasten the heating element.
- Clean the surface to make it clean and grease free.
