Description of the power plant control unit
Important
Note:
On activating the ILEC engine control unit, it first performs a self-test –
with all signals illuminating and its display reading 8888888.
This may also happen during operation if voltage drops temporarily
(e.g. when starting from a low battery).
(01) Signal for battery voltage and generator function
Red light with generator charging and battery voltage below 12.8 V,
or with engine stopped and ignition switched ON:
No light with generator charging and battery voltage at least 12.8 V,
or with engine stopped / propeller retracted.

3 LED (green, yellow, red) - range/value shown on page 2.5.
(03) Signal for low fuel level
With less than 8 Liters (2.11 US Gal., 1,76 IMP Gal.) left in the fuse-
lage tank, a yellow light comes on.
(04) Signal for ignition
On depressing the starter button with the ignition switched OFF, a
flashing red signal comes on and automatically the starter motor is
cut
off.
On actuating the propeller retraction switch with ignition still ON, the
flashing red light comes on and automatically the spindle drive is cut
off.
NOTE: With ignition “ON”, the water pump is automatically activated.
(05) Signal for propeller not fully extended
When switching the ignition ON with the propeller not fully extended,
a flashing red light comes on and automatically the starter motor is
cut
off.
(06) Signal for propeller arresting device
With prop extended and its arresting device still applied (handle
pulled back), a flashing red light is on and automatically the starter
button is cut off.
