Ventus-2cM
FLIGHT MANUAL
Power
plant
The „Ventus-2cM“ is the self-launching variant of sailplane model “Ventus-2c”.
The “Ventus-2cM” is powered by an liquid-cooled 37 kW (49.6 HP) SOLO
engine type 2625-01 - having a 3 : 1 toothed belt reduction drive.
The power plant is housed in the fuselage aft of the wing, and an electrical
spindle drive pivots it such that the propeller pylon extends from the engine bay.
In its appearance the “Ventus-2cM” differs from sailplane model “Ventus-2c”
only by its engine doors (with pylon retracted).
Flight characteristics and performances are identical with those of a corre-
spondingly loaded “Ventus-2c” (by means of water ballast).
