FLIGHT MANUAL
Determination of fuel contents
a)
Fuselage
tank
Fuel contents in the fuselage tank are indicated by the panel-mounted
ILEC control unit (maximum usable fuel is 12.5 Liters, 3.30 US Gal.,
2.75 IMP Gal., displayed 12 LIT).
With the wing tank(s) emptied (and 8 Liters, 2.11 US Gal., 1,76 IMP Gal,
remaining in the fuselage tank), a yellow signal is displayed by the control
unit.
b) Wing
tank(s) (if installed)
Fuel contents in the wing tank(s) are to be registered when filling the tank(s).
Entering total quantity (incl. tank(s) in wing) in the ILEC control unit
For this purpose a fuel quantity of at least 9 Liters must be in the fuselage tank,
otherwise the value displayed will always return to the actual amount of fuel left
in the fuselage tank (safety measure).
Data
entry
Depress both white button (LCD on the right and CAL on the left) until
the letter “E” is displayed.
By depressing and releasing only the button on the right, the value is
increased by one Liter, by depressing (and releasing) only the button on the
left, the value is reduced by on Liter.
Note that the total amount of fuel must be entered (i.e. fuselage and wing
tank(s)).
Quitting entry
Depress both white buttons until the letter “E” is no longer displayed.
Calibration of fuel quantity indicator
This is necessary whenever a different grade of petrol is used (i.e. AVGAS
instead of Premium). For this purpose the fuselage tank must be full.
For a re-calibration just depress the white (CAL) button on the left and release
only when the display shows a calibration mark (i.e. 094).
The fuel quantity indicator is then automatically calibrated to 12 LIT
(3.17 US Gal., 2.64 IMP Gal.)
